Steamboat a Comin’: The Legacy of the New Orleans
The Depot Community Room, 101 N. Water Street • 10am-2pm
An exhibit by the Rivers Institute at Hanover College and The Indiana Historical Society celebrating the 200th anniversary of the first steamboat on the western rivers of America. Viewers can read about the impact of that event in three sections: a history of the voyage of the New Orleans, including accounts of the individuals involved in the voyage; river economy and steam technology; and life along the river during the steamboat era.

River Hertitage Day
Audubon Mill Park & The Henderson Riverfront
Learn how the river affected life on the Ohio River. Listen to tales of events connected to river life by a master storyteller. Hands on displays featuring working lock and dam system, with giant boat puzzles. Live birds from West Kentucky Raptors. Safety exhibits and rope tossing event.

The Party Barge on Henderson Riverfront • 4pm-8pm

The Folklfe Festival
Audubon Mill Park •10am-2pm
Celebrating our 15th year as a component of the Bluegrass In The Park Folklife Festival, this event is intended to enlighten and educate people about our region’s folklife traditions. Over the last 15 years, traditional craftsmen have offered demonstrations of skills such as quilt making, carving, sheep shearing, basket weaving, story telling, blacksmithing, candle making, clogging, and many others.
