River Heritage Day’s Come Down to the River is Saturday, July 22 at Audubon Mill Park and the Henderson, Kentucky riverfront.
Park activities from 10-4 include FREE Ken-DUCK-y Derby, casting lessons, games, storytelling, live animals. FREE Kids’ Fishing Tournament begins at 11 am. Visit the traveling Dream Car Museum exhibit. Corn Hole Tournament begins at 10 am with up to $500 in prize money.
Western Kentucky Battle for the Paddle competitions on the Ohio River at 9am and 12:30 pm. Pre-registration ends on Monday, July 17, but Friendly Floaters can register at put-in point (Inland Marina) from 7:30-8:30 am Saturday morning. (Friendly Float coincides with Battle for the Paddle 12-mile race).
Raffle prizes include Sit-on-top Fishing Kayak with paddle and roof-top carrier, paddle packages, compact camping chair, overnight stays at Audubon State Park and local hotels, free meals at local restaurants.
Dinner on the Riverfront from 5-8 pm Saturday, July 21 at OnDeck Riverside Bar & Grill. All you can eat catfish filets, smoked chicken jambalaya. $12 adults, $6 kids 12 & under.
